Our Sixth Form Team at DESS College understands the pivotal moment students face as they move from secondary education to the next stage of their academic and personal development. We offer a diverse range of engaging and relevant options, tailored to the aspirations and learning styles of each student.
Our bespoke academic programmes, rooted in the National Curriculum for England and Wales, include a mix of A Levels, BTECs and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Students craft a personalised educational journey that aligns with their future goals, supported by our experienced subject specialists every step of the way.

Current DESS College Year 11 families arrive anytime between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Families joining us from other schools arrive between 4.30pm and 5.25pm.

Keynote at 5.30pm
Families joining us from other schools are invited to a keynote introducing the DESS College Sixth Form. Current DESS families can spend this time in the subject areas.

Beyond the timetable
More than your subjects
Our Super Curriculum enhances our Academic and Vocational Pathways with opportunities including the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), Maths Studies, Classical Studies and Modern Languages. Each is designed to broaden students’ academic horizons and support university admissions.
Learning pathways
Choose the Academic Pathway (typically three A Levels), the Vocational Pathway (BTEC/RSL Sub-Diploma or Diploma) or a Mixed Pathway of A Levels and BTECs. Bespoke pathways support Emirati students, Arabic A passport holders, students planning to study in Australia and academically gifted students.
Enrichment
From 26 student societies to LAMDA Public Speaking, AS languages and Classical Studies, there is plenty to explore. Our MVP programme also invites every Year 12 student to contribute their time and talents to College life.
The Sixth Form Centre
Designed for our older students, the Centre offers a mature, dynamic environment that mirrors university life, with a variety of study spaces, a communal lounge, wellness areas and a modern gym.

Families joining us from other schools are invited to arrive between 4.30pm and 5.25pm, ahead of our keynote at 5.30pm.
