Key Stage 1

In Key Stage 1 (for Years 1 and 2) we have created an inclusive, warm, and bright learning and development journey based on the National Curriculum for England.

We use current and cultural concepts linked to ‘The UN Global Goals’ to enrich and engage our children in different ways and give the curriculum a sparkling life force.

All our KS1 children make rapid progress, including our treasured SEND students.

We make the journey purposeful through ‘Continuous Provision’ (Year 1) and ‘Invent, Explore, Inspire (I.E.1.)’ (Year 2 onwards). This gives children opportunities to challenge themselves as they work their way through the stages.

We make the journey purposeful through ‘Continuous Provision’ (Year 1) and ‘Invent, Explore, Inspire (I.E.1.)’ (Year 2 onwards). This gives children opportunities to challenge themselves as they work their way through the stages.

One day they may find themselves engrossed in the creation of a museum of artefacts linked to a concept, and the next they might be sewing a costume for a soldier in need.

To broaden horizons, we encourage children to learn about the culture in which they live as well as that of their birthplace.
